Loyal supporters of the actress are calling for that a individual who leaped a fence and seized the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A viral clip depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors made its way down a event pathway flanked by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "released after being taken in", though legal records revealed that he was due to appear on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed features recordings of him disrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney show in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last December.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is clearly a punishable act," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Express Concern Over the Star's Well-being

Several fans blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further comment on Instagram.

Some fans also questioned guards at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while some called for social media platforms to block Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In footage shared widely, Grande appeared startled when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Numerous of fans had congregated in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore venue, including several who had waited for as long as eight hours before it began.

The film, to be launched on November 21, is the sequel of a dual version of the popular Broadway and West End production Wicked, which revolves around the surprising bond between two distinct witches.

The show itself is a spin-off of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of the previous year in the UK, and scored 10 Oscar nominations, earning a pair for excellent wardrobe and production design.
