The City of Angels witnessed widespread festivities after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Fans across the globe united with local residents in celebration, marking the initial time in 25 years that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Turnout
Local celebrations included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage show thousands of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many displaying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The squad was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the crowds, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.

The procession path concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the players emerged to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and the artist driving a Pacific blue classic car around the field.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, awarded the MVP of the championship, commented directly about the victory.

However, Mark Walter was met with a less warm reception at the rally. Recordings from the gathering appear to show him taking the stage to a mix of applause and boos, with jeers punctuating his address.
The championship acted as a positive moment in what has been a challenging year for the city. An estimated 225,000 people showed up to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member Freddie Freeman, fans this year demonstrated equal or greater support.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” he said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
