That Gory Animated Film Conclusion That Haunts Viewers

Among every mature cartoon movies I’ve personally viewed, nothing has remained with me as much as the fear-filled conclusion of a graphically gory as well as overwhelingly transgressive 2022 movie The Unicorn Wars.

Back in the year 2015, this Spain-based filmmaker developed a grim, somber , frequently brutal world that included several minor , desolate hints of hope.

While Unicorn Wars seems like it originated from a desire to expand the medium even more, the filmmaker stated that it was more an attempt to communicate a widespread, multicultural theme about “the mutual source of every conflict.”

This theme is expressed through a group of vividly colored bears , openly based on a well-known line of cuddly characters.

Maturing in a culture centered on warmongering as well as the defense industry, many of the bears are consumed by killing the mythical beasts, thanks to a sacred text that tells the bears they previously were masters of the forest, before these creatures drove them out.

A few did not entirely fallen for the indoctrination, , choose to experiment with substances or mate outdoors.

Unlike their cuddly counterparts, these bright beings have visible sexual organs and clear sex drives.

For one notably brutal, pessimistic creature, the bear named Bluey, the battle against unicorns transforms into a route to power — and especially to dominance above his gentler, nicer brother Tubby.

Bluey behaves aggressively , a seeming sociopath , and while terror takes over his group and takes his comrades individually, he grabs increasingly power on his own behalf, in increasingly gory, harmful methods.

Meanwhile, these mythical beings are experiencing their own terror, as a growing, deadly beast in their woods.

“In the early stages, it seems like a comedy,” the director commented. “Yet it becomes a more dramatic and sorrowful movie. And in the finale, it becomes a terrifying movie.”

Unicorn Wars commences resembling one of the more quirky films from a renowned animator, which find a naughty glee in allowing drawn beings curse, shoot each other, or sex each other up.

Then it evolves into something more like a more grim film by that same director, featuring progressively graphic violence and a noticeable link to the real horror of battle.

In the finale, it becomes a complete Grand Guignol massacre.

The horror which makes this a perfect Halloween movie begins much sooner than that description suggests.

The Unicorn Wars is one for the devoted lovers of violence, for fans of graphic films who want to watch a movie they’ve never viewed until now, and who can handle a story that pulls absolutely no punches.

See it in a dimly lit space without any distractions, and that ending will crawl under your skin and stay with you.
